countdown to y2k fun

As the year 2000 approached, there was abundant trepidation about potential computer glitches. One issue was credit cards that expired in 2000 or 2001 could be rejected at merchants who hadn’t upgraded their systems. Following the Boy Scouts’ lead, we were prepared; we sent reminders and instructions like these inside bank statements advising customers of the potential, and what to do if the unlikely occurred. The reality? No problems!
